Nano products are everywhere: in plastics, solar panels, cosmetics, medical instruments, pharmaceutical products, textiles or construction products to name but a few. As well as the great potential for innovation there are also potential risks for consumer health that has meant nanotechnologies have been subject to controversial discussions at a political level.
This seminar seeks to explore both risks and opportunities of this new technology, how these are addressed by the current legislative framework and what are the remaining challenges for policy-makers.
